Wall Insulation Grants

My Eco Grant is able to help with grants for the following types of wall insulation:

Cavity Wall Insulation
If your home was built of brick after 1924, it will most likely have two layers of brickwork with a cavity or air gap in between. After 1982, most properties were required by building regulations to have the cavity filled with insulation at the time of construction. If your home has un-filled cavity walls, you can have insulating material blown into the gap and grants are available to cover the entire cost. External Wall Insulation
Properties built of brick before 1924 will typically have solid walls. These homes can benefit by being insulated from the outside with either brick-effect or render finishes. Other solid construction types such as concrete or stone can also have external wall insulation installed. Costs are around £7,000 to £15,000 but a grant of up to 25% towards the cost is available. Internal Wall Insulation
In some circumstances, it may not be possible or practical to insulate solid walls from the outside and internal wall insulation could be the best option. This involves fitting insulation boards to the inside of the property and plastering them ready for a decorative finish. Grants are available that can cover the entire cost.
